Help us get Drax to his North Carolina rescue!
Drax is the sweetest, silliest, most lovable 1-yr-old pit bull. Sadly, he was dumped at the Castaic Shelter in mid-September and waited more than two months to find a forever home. When that didn’t happen, he was set to be euthanized Luckily, with the help of Dr. Brian Rambarran of Pilots N Paws and Christy Swanton of Noah’s Ark Humane Society, we found a spot for him at a rescue!
I was able to pull Drax out of the shelter in the nick of time and now we are making sure he is safe until his freedom flight on December 15. He has been boarding at North Valley Veterinary Center in Lancaster since Tuesday, 11/26, will briefly come stay with me at a very generous friend’s home, and then return to North Valley for boarding from Wed, 12/4-Sun, 12/15. Then it is officially time for his grand adventure across the country!
As you can imagine, the costs of boarding an animal for this long are high, not to mention the cost of flying him across the country. We are asking for your help in funding this amazing journey to get our incredible Draxy boy to safety
The donations we receive from this fundraiser will go towards Drax’s adoption, boarding, medical, and transportation costs. Once his boarding and care have been covered, we will be donating all remaining funds directly to Noah’s Ark Humane Society for providing Drax a safe haven at their rescue and for their role in coordinating his transportation ❤️
