Support Draven Brown's Family in Crisis

My name is Draven Gage Brown. I am a 28-year-old disabled veteran, married to my wife Trinity, and we have a 2-year-old daughter named Jolene. I have been working on the road away from home since October 2020. I spend roughly 2-4 days a month at home and the rest at work.

In 2021, I deployed with the Louisiana Army National Guard. When I came home from deployment, I found myself in debt and had to pull out personal loans to consolidate. About a year after I got home, I got a letter from the Department of Treasury stating that the Army overpaid me on my leave by $10k and I had to pay it back.

As time went on, I kept up with my bills for a while, but after the kid, inflation, constant layoffs, and bouncing around jobs, 4 years later I've fallen behind to a dangerous point.

I'm in a forbearance plan with my mortgage company, the IRS is one more missed payment from garnishing my check, I'm 3 months behind on ALL of my bills, and constantly getting shutoff notices.

I have been denied for loans due to the amount of payments I'm behind on, and I have no other options at this point besides struggle until I drown.

A few days ago, I had to pawn the last of my valuables to have enough money to go to work this week. One of the items I pawned was my grandpa's 4-wheeler that he gave to me, and I lost it a few days ago because I couldn't make the payment. (I pawned it 6 months ago for gas money to drive across the state for work.)

I'm not asking for anyone to make me rich. I just want to get caught up on my bills so I can get loans and refinance my situation. The stress of phone calls, emails, notice letters, and debtors showing up at my door is breaking me down. I feel like a failure as a man, husband, and father, and I'm slowly falling apart.

I owe:

$10k to the IRS

$1.5k to the state of Louisiana

$2k behind on my truck note

$800 behind on my wife's car

$2,300 by the end of February and March for my mortgage (it's $800 a month but I'm in a forbearance plan)

And a rough number of $4k behind on utilities and insurances.
