Support Drakeo's Journey to Health and Happiness

Hello everyone, my name is Stephanie Cortes. This is my baby/first child Drakeo. He’s 1 year and 4 months old this April. I adopted him back in January 2024 from the Bakersfield Animal Shelter when he was only a couple of weeks old.

Drakeo started showing some odd behaviors about a month ago, and we knew that it was out of the ordinary since he loves to play a lot and is very active, always super cuddly and friendly with dogs and other people as well.

He had his first seizure a couple of weeks ago, and now he’s had a second seizure. He starts off by licking his mouth a lot, then vomiting, and from there the seizure starts to occur. We knew it was 100% serious, so we took him to the vet, and they told us the only way to find out what’s hurting him and causing his seizure attacks is by getting MRI scans and bloodwork testing done.

My boyfriend and I are also expecting a baby on the way, and we hope Drakeo is 100% still here with us once our baby comes. He’s been a big part of my life, relationship, and my family. He’s been the most loyal to me even when I’m going through tough times.

I will always be there for him as well, and I am trying to save up for his proper care. Our goal is to save as much as we can for now, for his veterinary bills. We hope Drakeo can be up and running and playing again pain-free. My boyfriend and I will start paying little by little with payments for now. We also added photo proof of his treatment plan. These funds will also be used to get him any other medication needed.
