HELP Save Drake, Lisa, & Ruger from Eviction….

My Wife, Myself And our loving Doggie named Ruger are in desperate need of emergency assistance…
Being senior citizens myself being 63yrs young and my wife at 55 have run into a few life health obstacles and could really use the support to get us to a safe environment for healing.

My wife Lisa and I met in New York City in 2002 and have been together ever since..
From 2016- 2020 I Andrew Drake was employed as an Art Handler, Art Installer, Art Fabricator for Gagosian Art Gallery In Beverley Hills, CA. In 2017 while unpacking Artwork I stepped on an industrial staple which resulted in an injury to my right big toe. In some pain I continued to work and did not file for disability.

When the Pandemic hit in early 2020 the Gagosian Gallery closed its doors and we were all laid off with out compensation. I had to collect Edd unemployment and PPU assistance at the time.

During the pandemic the injury that I received while working hadn’t healed and through further investigation diagnosed with Cancer, a seriously severly deep “Squamous Cell Carcinoma”, Skin cancer.

2022 had the Cancer surgically remove at Keck USC in los Angeles which I still have a past due outstanding bill for.. the circumstances devastated us financially.

My wife was let go from her employment that she had held for over 5 years a week after I was diagnosed with cancer leaving us uninsured.. We had to pay out of pocket for all of our expenses & Bills with out any assistance or disability while maintaining rent and personal bills both being unemployed and me being disabled.

As one could imagine the financial and physical stress on us was unbeliveable..
I was diagnosed in November of 2021.. Had Surgery in April 2022..
It has been and still is a long road to recovery.. I had 2 bacterial infections in the wound area.
I am still seeing a DPM for the Cancer and have to be regularly screened..

So with a few years of recovery and not working both my wife and I are senior in years and she was having a tough time getting employment.. we were barely making it month to month when June of last year I had a major Heart Attack.. and was rushed into the hospital for a life saving procedure.
Thank the lord I made it thru and now am in recovery for Heart Surgery in cardiac rehabilitation.

Its been a tough few years and we were barely making our rent each month of $2,200,00.

My wife was having hard time again taking care of me and finding employment she was able to pick up some subcontracting freelance womans appearal design work ..
Unfortunetly we were hit again when the fires came and the few accounts that my wife was servicing have now all gone out of business..

We are left with only my social security to survive..
We can no longer pay our rent for our apartment and this month will have to face the possibility of eviction.
My wife and I are both clean and sober and have always worked and never had these issues before so this is all new for us…
Finding resources and accommodations that are more affordable is our goal.. But we are now at a loss, with out any bank account or funds for survival.. The state of California can not give me financial assistance (General relief) because I already collect SSA but SSA will not cover the cost of rent ..

I am afraid we will lose our apartment and belongings if we can’t pay our rent.
I Am very worried that the stress will bring on another heart attack.
I am on many medications for my heart with side effects..

We are so afraid..
I havent slept a full night in years ..
The anxiety and stress is so overwhelming..

Please help us thru this most difficult time..!
