Hi, I am a former student of Dr. Morris-Shaw's who has her childhood home in Jamaica along with her family who were on the island during Hurricane Melissa. Dr. Morris-Shaw herself was fortunate enough to not be present for the event but her home was left devastated, with the entire islanders left powerless to repair themselves from the unexpected event.
