Hello everyone,
It’s a pleasure to reach out to you and share a bit about my journey. I hope you’re all doing well and staying safe.
I am Dr. Mahmoud Abu Al Amrain, a Palestinian medical doctor and a graduate of the Islamic University of Gaza, where I proudly earned my degree with distinction. With my Palestinian Medical License, I have been committed to serving my community, offering care and compassion in the face of extraordinary challenges.
Since completing my studies, I have volunteered at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the Middle Gaza Area, dedicating myself to multiple departments, with a special focus on the Emergency Department.
Through times of peace and conflict, my team and I have worked tirelessly to care for the sick and wounded, often without financial compensation. Our mission has been driven by an unwavering commitment to deliver life-saving treatment and essential medicines to those in need.
In May 2024, I extended my work to medical points within displacement camps in the central region, offering care to patients of all ages and conditions—young children, women, the elderly, and individuals with chronic illnesses. However, by October 2024, we faced an unfortunate halt in our services due to a dire shortage of medical supplies.
Amid these challenges, I hold onto a dream that propels me forward: to join a Core Surgical Training Program in the UK. Achieving this goal requires passing several rigorous exams, including MRCS Part A, MRCS Part B, and the Occupational English Test (OET), alongside earning vital certifications and training.
While I initially scheduled my MRCS Part A exam for January 2024 and later postponed it to May 2024, I recently had to cancel it entirely due to travel restrictions. Despite these obstacles, my determination remains unshaken, and my commitment to this path grows stronger each day.
Your steadfast support is a beacon of encouragement, inspiring me to continue my work and pursue this dream of advancing my skills to serve even more effectively.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we can overcome challenges and build a future filled with healing and hope.
Warm regards,
Mahmoud
