Hello!

My name is Tony Frye. I am a friend and work colleague of Dr. Kristin Ford, who teaches criminal justice and forensic science here at Piedmont University in Demorest, Georgia. I have been working with Dr. Ford for nearly a year and a half.

In the past 11 months, Kristin has experienced a life that is both an example for us all in strength and perseverance and one I hope no one goes through. Her beloved husband of over nine years passed away following a health issue. In addition, she had a reoccurrence of cancer that was in remission years before. After numerous rounds of radiation, Kristin discovered recently that she will need surgery to fully remove that cancer, which will happen in the coming weeks. All of this has required her to receive extra treatments.

She has done all of this while raising a young daughter, Isabelle (9 years of age), being an active member in her community and church, and working full time at our university--shepherding and teaching a future generation of young leaders in law enforcement in northeast Georgia and beyond.

To put it bluntly, Kristin has medical bills and a lot of them ($7,000). Watching her go through this as a friend and work colleague is trying, but at the same time gives those of us with her day-to-day a feeling of wanting to help her in the situation. This is the one thing I know I can do to help in her hour of need.

I have never done something like this before, but I am humbly asking for anyone reading this, be you a student, work colleague, friend, family, including her friends from her past work life in the law enforcement community, to please consider submitting a donation. All of it will go straight to Kristin and help with her medical bills and needs.
