Support Dr. Chinwe's Mission in Ecuador

Hello! My name is Dr. Chinwe Okoye-Oyibo, and I am currently a Family Medicine Maternal Child Surgical Fellow. For over 10 years, I have dedicated my training to serving communities by providing education and healthcare services to women, driven by my passion to address healthcare disparities in maternal health. I am proud to be part of Operation International’s Women’s Team, which aims to provide free education and gynecologic procedures to women lacking access to standard care.

This year, we traveled to Techiman, Ghana, where we successfully performed over 20 gynecologic surgeries to address severe complications, including uterine fibroids, uterine prolapse, and the removal of a 15-pound tumor from an 8-year-old girl. We also conducted lectures for medical staff at Holy Trinity Techiman Hospital on obstetric emergencies, such as hypertension in pregnancy, sepsis in labor, and postpartum hemorrhage.
