Thank you for caring about our story.

The donations raised will go towards the surmounting medical bills ($50k+) from the two heart procedures.

Dr. Bo & Tami run a love-filled (& cash-based) principled chiropractic office {Victory Chiropractic} in Branson, Missouri.

They are the only two in the office.
Bo is the doc & Tami takes care of the rest.

They’ve been serving the Branson & surrounding community for close to 15 years.

{Tami speaking here}:

Dr. Bo had a massive heart attack on March 10, 2024 (daylight savings time).

I still prefer to refer to it as a "cardiac event" as I don't believe our bodies are out to get us, as an "attack" implies.

His RAD (his primary artery) was fully occluded, so a stint was placed.

Here's more detail...

Signs began Monday (3/4), but we thought he aggravated an old injury in his mid-back when he was weightlifting earlier that day (cleans & rows).

He had a little shortness of breath & pretty intense mid back pain. (We know now that it was referred pain).

It eventually eased up, so he let it be.

We made an appointment for bloodwork & an EKG for the following Monday “just to rule out heart stuff.”

We do routine bloodwork every 1-2 years.

Dr. Bo adjusted like normal all week (put his hands on & delivered over 200 life-giving adjustments)…

All while his own body was struggling to live.

After the first stint was placed, we closed the practice for a week so he could recover.

Then returned with modified hours so he could rest & heal.

The chest pain never really went away after the first stint was placed.

Then on June 6, 2024, Dr Bo made the wise decision to go to the ER due to the ongoing chest pain. {the pain had not fully dissipated after the major cardiac event in March}

Then on June 7, 2024, another two stints were placed in his LAD ("widow maker").

At that point, we had a local cardiologist that opted to place 2 stints in the LAD.

We were beyond frustrated that this was not completed during his first event in March, as the on-call cardiologist let us know it was an area of concern.

But I don't want to get lost in the weeds here, so I'll move on.

Dr. Bo spent 3 months believing his was healing, only to have this second set back.

It's been a lot to metabolize.

We have made the decision to close the office for July to give his heart time to heal.

Good news is his heart is strong {confirmed by a 2nd echo}. But we all knew that. ;)

We are thankful & relieved, but also perplexed & pissed off.

•ALL• the emotions right now.

We eat well & move our bodies, so this whole thing is confusing.

I know his perceived weakness is really deep strength in disguise.

I know that things always work out for our highest good.

I know there is purpose behind this pain & path.

There is a deeper purpose at work here.

So we will navigate it as best we can & shed light, which will continually help others.

A song that has been on loop in my head:

Grateful by St. Finnikin

I wanna share some of the lines:

I am grateful
Full to the brim

I am grateful
More than I’ve ever been

Grateful I woke up again
Woke up & took a breath again
Looked up & saw the sun again

I’m grateful for the eyes I have
I’m grateful for the wind upon my face

I’m grateful for the sensation
Of a loved one's embrace

I’m grateful for the lemon juice upon on my lips

I’m grateful I can smile while I’m tasting it

❤️‍❤️‍❤️‍❤️‍❤️‍❤️‍❤️‍

It sums up how we feel through all of this.

Especially the line about being grateful for the lemon juice.

It reminds me that we can experience bitter things but not let it stick…that we can be grateful even through the difficulties in life.

We can walk through the crap & not let it stick to us.

I realize the staff at the hospital don’t experience much kindness, which explains why they seemed stunned when we were kind.

We utilized the hospital for how it was designed...for emergent, lifesaving care.

Being in the hospital made me see the staff as real people just believing they are doing the best they can do.

We can be kind even when we hurt.

{it’s been amazing to witness how Bo continues to exude love & kindness…even when in pain & uncertainty}

We are the light {& so are you}

Thanks for standing by us as we navigate this storm.

We •feel• held by all the love sent our way.

Filled with much Love & Appreciation,

Dr Bo & Tami Bandy
