Support Dr. Amy's Battle Against Cancer

Dear friends, family, and extended community,
Just six months ago, the Mahjouri family faced the heartbreaking and unexpected loss of their loving and devoted father. As they began to pick up the pieces and rebuild their lives as a family of four, they were met with another devastating challenge: their mother was diagnosed with Stage IV renal cell carcinoma with lymphangitic carcinomatosis, a rare and aggressive cancer that has spread to her lungs and liver.
Dr. Amy has three children — Kymia and Danny, who are currently in dental school, and Sammy, her youngest, who is a junior at UCSD. With their mother now unable to work, all three have stepped into immense responsibility, setting aside their own studies to care for her, coordinate her medical needs, manage the household and finances, and do their best to maintain the dental practice and home their parents poured their hearts into.
Dr. Amy is not only the heart of their family — she is a healer, a giver, and a quiet force of compassion in her community. A devoted dentist, she spent her career offering heartfelt care to everyone she treated. She often volunteered her time to providing free dental services to survivors of domestic violence, trauma victims, veterans, and individuals in recovery — people seeking not just a new smile, but a new beginning. She believed in healing through dentistry and gave with her whole heart.
The Mahjouris are family to us, and we created this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden on their shoulders — so they can focus on spending meaningful time with their mom and preserving the home and practice she built with such love and purpose.
Whether you’re able to donate or simply share this page, we are deeply grateful for your support in any form. Your kindness, compassion, and time mean more than words can express.
With gratitude,
