My name is Taj Guss, and I am a longtime educator in the Denver Public Schools district. For over eight years, I have dedicated my life to serving children, families, and my community—showing up every day with compassion, consistency, and care.

Recently, my life was turned upside down when I experienced a sudden medical emergency caused by Lupus while driving. I lost consciousness and crashed into my own home. In a matter of moments, my vehicle was completely destroyed and part of my home was damaged. I am incredibly grateful to be alive, but the aftermath has been overwhelming.

Because my car was fully paid off and had over 200,000 miles, it is not covered by my insurance. Transportation is essential for me to continue working, supporting myself, and managing ongoing medical care. Right now, I am humbly asking for support to help with a down payment on a reliable vehicle so I can regain stability and continue serving the community that I love.
