Hello family and friends,

As some of you may know, my husband of 30 years - Douglas Doherty - age 58, was diagnosed with Stage IV kidney cancer during the 2025 holiday season. What we thought was a routine visit to the doctor due to chronic pain resulted in finding tumors in both kidneys. Biopsies and scans that followed showed that the cancer had spread. While this news came as a shock and is causing our plans to change course, we are facing each day with courage, faith, hope and love.

Since his diagnosis, we have been navigating countless appointments, forms, and insurance requirements to pursue the best treatment options available. This diagnosis, his treatment and its related complications come at a steep cost. We need help as we navigate what lies ahead as we help him fight this horrible disease.

We are people of faith and firmly believe in miracles. We trust in God’s timing, not our own. At the same time, we must prepare for realities we never imagined facing.

All donations from this fundraiser will go directly toward Douglas Doherty’s expenses, helping cover the costs associated with his cancer care and related needs.
