Hey Maple Leaf family, we’re reaching out to ask for your support for one of our own.

Many of you know Douggie — Doug Trager — as the longtime talent buyer at the Maple Leaf Bar and the person largely responsible for the music you see on our stage and streaming live on our free video feeds. For years, Douggie has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring artists, sounds, and unforgettable nights together, helping shape the Maple Leaf into the community hub it is today.

Over the past year, Douggie has been facing a very serious health challenge. In 2025 alone, his medical expenses have surpassed $500,000. While insurance has covered a portion of these costs, ongoing deductibles, copays, medications, and frequent travel to MD Anderson in Houston have created a heavy financial burden for Douggie and his family.

If the Maple Leaf has ever been a place where you discovered a new favorite band, shared a special night with friends, or simply felt at home — this is an opportunity to give back to someone who has given so much to this community.
