Hey y’all, my name is Taylor, and I am fundraising for my dear friend, Doug Dempsey, and his beautiful children, Aren (21), Dana (18), and Marie (13).

Just last night, their lives were turned completely upside down when a devastating house fire destroyed their home and everything in it. For years, Doug ran into burning buildings to save lives and property, but this recent blaze left him helpless as his own safe haven was destroyed. Thankfully, the children were not home and Doug got himself and their dogs out safely, but they are heartbroken and have nothing left—not even clothes or basic necessities. To make this tragedy even more challenging, it's the holiday season, a time meant for joy and family, which now feels incredibly difficult for them.

I can't imagine the pain of losing a home, especially at this time of year. I’m starting this fundraiser to help them with immediate needs as they begin the difficult process of recovery and rebuilding their lives from scratch.

The funds raised will be used for:

Immediate Needs: Temporary housing, food, and new clothing.

Kids' Essentials: Replacing books and school supplies.

Holiday Cheer: Helping provide some normalcy and gifts for the children this holiday season.

Recovery Costs: Assisting with the initial costs of rebuilding their home and replacing essential household items.
