Support Dorrie’s Recovery from Vicious Stray Dog Attack

Donation protected
On Thursday, April 23, 2026 around 11am, Dorrie was viciously attacked and mauled by a pack of stray dogs. She went on routine walk in her neighborhood, down by the levee in Weston Ranch, Stockton, CA, where a group of 7-9 stray dogs (including German Shepard breed and mixed breeds) approached her and violently attacked her. Fortunately, a couple that lives nearby heard her cries for help and fought the dogs away and saved her. We are extremely lucky that she is still here today.

She was in the OR for around 6 hours when she initially got taken to the hospital, lost a ton of blood, and ended up with a minimum of 150-200 lacerations and punctures across her entire body including head, neck, face, arms, legs, and torso.

We are happy to report that she is making great progress in her recovery! We thank the doctors and nurses that worked with her, and she has been in great spirits as she’s been receiving a ton of love from friends and family.

For those who have been asking if there is any way they could help, we will be facing crazy medical fees and bills, and legal fees as there are plans to take legal action. Anything will help, even if it is simply sharing a link. Please don’t hesitate to send a text or call if you have any questions or if you just want to send some love her way!

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts,

The Reyes Family
