Support Dorothy's Battle Against Metastatic Cancer
Donation protected
My sister Dorothy has shown incredible strength and courage throughout her long battle with colorectal cancer. Not long after being diagnosed, she underwent major surgery to have a baseball sized tumor removed. Determined to overcome this challenge, Dorothy continued her fight with intensive chemotherapy over the past seven months.
However, after a bout of bronchitis and a week-long hospitalization, Dorothy faced another daunting hurdle. During her recovery, a lung biopsy revealed that her cancer had spread to her lung—metastatic colorectal cancer. In response, Dorothy bravely underwent lung surgery on February 11th, during which a portion of her left lung was removed. Although her recovery in the hospital was expected to last between four to seven days due to potential complications, we are relieved to share that she is now home and focused on healing.
The road ahead remains challenging, with a high chance that the cancer may return, either in her lung or liver. As Dorothy embarks on this new phase of recovery, our family is coming together to support her both emotionally and financially. We are seeking assistance to help cover ongoing medical expenses, follow-up treatments, home care needs, and other costs associated with her recovery and future care.
Your generous support—whether through donations or by sharing her story—will make an immeasurable difference in Dorothy’s fight against cancer. Thank you for standing with us and helping to spread hope during this difficult time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Anna and Amy
