My name is Doris Adriana Pacheco Ascanio. I am 26 years old, originally from Colombia, and I have been living in the United States for the past two years, currently working as a full-time employee in the Housekeeping Department of St. Tropez on the Bay.
At just 21 years old, my life changed completely when I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Nodular Sclerosis type. Hearing the word “cancer” at such a young age was devastating. I underwent an intensive chemotherapy treatment plan that pushed my body and spirit to their limits.
By the grace of God and the strength I found within myself, I completed my treatment. However, my journey did not end there. Today, I continue to attend monthly oncology follow-ups to monitor my condition. In addition to my cancer history, I am currently dealing with several ongoing health complications, including:
- Hepatomegaly (enlarged liver)
- Marked sinus arrhythmia
- Left atrial enlargement
- Kidney complications requiring intravenous treatments to reduce excess blood urea nitrogen levels
These conditions require continuous medical supervision, specialized care, medications, and IV treatments. The financial burden of ongoing medical expenses, testing, and treatments has become overwhelming. As a young immigrant trying to rebuild my life while managing serious health challenges, I am doing everything I can to stay strong and positive. However, I cannot do this alone. I am humbly asking for your support to help cover:
- Ongoing medical treatments
- Specialist visits and monthly oncology follow-ups
- IV therapy and medications
- Diagnostic testing and monitoring
Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help relieve some of the financial pressure and allow me to focus on what matters most — continuing my recovery and protecting my health.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign would mean the world to me.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, prayers, and support during this journey.
With gratitude,
Doris Adriana Pacheco Ascanio
