Support Doris’s Fight against Breast Cancer

I want to tell you about a stage of my life called CANCER.

My name is Doris Magali, mother of 2 beautiful girls; Nicole, 16 years old, and Domenica, 13 years old. I am 42 years old. Almost 4 years ago we arrived in the United States from Ecuador, like many people fleeing the insecurity, lack of employment, and political persecution that exists in the country. When I was 37 years old, I was diagnosed with COVID, and I managed to recover after several weeks of treatment. I have had a healthy life, I do my check-ups responsibly, I have no family history of illness, but even so, I was diagnosed with BREAST CANCER, very hard news to live and bear. The daily smile today is accompanied by a pain that at times seems endless.

Three years ago, I began to feel a small lump in my right breast. I had my annual exams and my doctors found nothing wrong. Two years ago I went back and the results were the same. A year ago, that lump grew but the exams found nothing strange. This year 2024, in June, those lumps were more palpable to the touch and were no longer normal. That was when this new stage of my life called CANCER began. Several tests, biopsies, mammograms, MRIs, came out positive for cancer. Despite this discouraging diagnosis, seeing my daughters every morning fills me with strength and the will to live. I have had to leave my regular job at a medical supplies factory, to replace it today with my chemotherapy treatment and medical exams.

The bills at home such as rent, food, vehicle, insurance and many other things, now with the hospital expenses keep coming. José, the father of my daughters, does his best to cover all the expenses with his work in construction; but each time the expenses exceed the income.

Today I want to ask for your help to be able to overcome these difficult times and alleviate my family's expenses. Today I need your help, and I am sure that each message and contribution will be a blessing. May God take care of us all. Thank you, thank you very much.
