Help for Flood Victims in Southern Brazil

I am Doris Treptow-Kovacs, a university professor in the United States, but a native of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil. My home state is being devastated by unprecedented flooding. Hundreds of thousands of people, including some of my own relatives, have lost everything they own.

I am organizing this fundraiser to collect donations in the US to help my cousins and their community recover from this catastrophic disaster. While immediate needs are being addressed by friends and family in Brazil, once the floodwaters recede, there will be a massive cleanup effort required and many essential belongings that will need to be replaced, like mattresses and kitchen appliances.

100% of funds raised here will be transferred directly to my cousins in the impacted region. They are wise, wonderful people who I trust completely to utilize this financial assistance responsibly and for maximum impact where it is needed most.
