My name is Doris C. Valdespino. I am a 63-year-old retired grandmother of two who live with me because their mother (Eva, my daughter) passed away from Sepsis in 2022. I am a Chronic Kidney Disease Survivor and am on Dialysis for life or until I can find a Kidney donor if possible.

I am here today to ask for help keeping our home which my father (Emilio J. Valdespino, deceased) worked hard to build and to constantly remodel and maintain. I have been working hard for the last three years to maintain the household by myself. My daughters used to help me with the upkeep of the property until Eva passed away in 2022 and Gracie passed away from Ketoacedosis 5 months later in 2023.

I have fallen behind on my property taxes and I must pay off the balance by December 1st or it will be sold at auction. It pains my soul that I find myself in this horrible situation. My retirement pay doesn't go far enough and I can't work because of my strict dialysis schedule. I go to in-clinic treatments 3 times a week for 4 hours each of those days. I am considered 100% disabled. I plan to take my social security early and hopefully now that my health has somewhat stabilized, look for a part-time work-from-home job that

will fit in with my dialysis treatments.

I would greatly appreciate any help you can grant me so that I can keep a roof over our heads. I have lived in this home intermittently for nearly my entire life. I can't imagine living anywhere else or finishing raising my grandchildren in any other home.
