Doris has been a dedicated member of the staff at the UFT for over two decades. She is currently working in the Personnel Department, where she continues to be the person everyone turns to when they need help, always offering her support and kindness to colleagues and friends alike. Her commitment to her work and her community has made her a beloved member of our team, and she has touched the lives of so many people over the years.

Recently, Doris faced an unimaginable hardship. A fire broke out in her apartment, and as if that wasn’t enough, the pipes burst, causing water to pour in and create even more damage. In a matter of hours, Doris lost nearly everything she owned. The devastation has left her without a safe place to stay and without the basic necessities she needs to rebuild her life.

We are coming together to support Doris in this difficult time. The funds raised will help her secure temporary housing and begin to replace the possessions she lost.
