Support Dorey's Healing Journey

Dorey is doing an amazing job dealing with having two emergency surgeries and being in the hospital for almost 4 weeks now and unable to work.

Her surgeon told her that it’s going to take a long time for the wound to heal because of its location. She still has 3 drains in and they’re staying in for a while. She’ll have PT, OT, a home health nurse, and a caregiver coming in to help her at home, and she’ll be going to regular wound care appointments at the hospital.

She’ll have to spend a lot of time lying down and resting to keep pressure off of the wound and to give her body time to heal.

Everything helps. It’s a lot for one person to heal from such an invasive wound, while being limited in financial options and still needing to cover rent, utilities and any medical equipment needed. Another option to help her would be a meal train with gluten and dairy free food.
