My mom, Dorene, has always been the most helpful, grateful, loving person. She would give you her last dollar. Last week, she was diagnosed with diverticulitis. She was doing better, but on Monday, she was in extreme pain. We took her back to the ER, and they found a perforation in her colon. She was rushed into emergency surgery at that point. Her 3-hour surgery took 6 hours due to the amount of infection. She is having issues with her kidneys right now and is off a liquid diet. She now has to have a colostomy bag for at least a year, and she will have to be in the hospital for at least a week and will have to be off work for who knows how long. We will have to have home nurses come to help, as well as myself and her husband, John, learning the at-home care.

Between being off work and medical bills, things are going to be extremely tight. Any bit will help. We are going to manage as best as possible, and I would never put this out if it wasn’t an emergency. All the love and prayers and good vibes are needed! Thank you all!!!
