My dear friend, Dora, lives in Kenya and is 28 years old and recently had brain surgery for a brain clot that caused her to fall down stairs on February 2nd and then become unconscious for a week.
I've known Dora for several years and have helped her reach her dream of opening a sausage and chips roadside business where she has been sharing her warmth and hospitality with her clients for a year now. Her clients and friends have been actively fundraising in Kenya. Her bills continue to build as she remains in the hospital as I write this.
She survived the surgery and is conscious and starting to walk and regain strength but so, so slowly.
Dora is an overtly warm and welcoming person who will say hello with a smile to anyone willing to chat and connect. This heath crisis is overwhelming for her. Her employees have been trying to run the business without her and pay the bills and her mom is already ill and unable to even travel to see her in the Nairobi hospital.
In Kenya, they have no standardized healthcare system and debt can be detrimental.
Please consider helping with any sum. Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. I am praying for Dora daily and she welcomes your prayers.
