I'm reaching out because I'm in a crisis and I desperately need help with emergency legal fees.

One month ago, I discovered my partner of 20 years had been living a double life involving illegal activities that put the kids at direct risk.

This past Sunday, I found photographic evidence that he had been bringing these activities into our home. When I told him I would be filling for custody to protect that kids from this unsafe environment, he retaliated by involving law enforcement. The situation has become legally complex, and I need immediate legal representation.

The legal fees are beyond what I can afford on my own, even though I work as a nurse. Attorney retainers ($8000 - $15000 retainer) , and I may need representation on multiple fronts.

I have secured an apartment where I am establishing a safe home for the kids. Right now we still have shared custody, which means the kids are staying in an environment that is not safe for them. I need legal help immediately to file for primary custody and get them out of that environment.

I am asking, pleading. I am terrified, I am overwhelmed.

I never thought I would be in this position. I never thought I would have to ask for help like this. But I cannot do this alone, and I cannot do it without support.
