Early Monday morning on February 23rd, 2026 at 3:23AM - four hungry cake connoisseurs broke the Doodlecakes bakery storefront window on 647 Central Avenue, Alameda. They proceeded to steal $10 (ten dollars in single bills) from the tip jar located in a drawer. They also brought with them, Mountain Mike's cash register from across the street, which they left on the sidewalk - a few quarters and nickels, dropping dimes.
