I'm reaching out for support for my brother, Don, who is on a long road to recovery after suffering a stroke and now has Wallenberg syndrome.
On July 5, his life changed drastically, and now he’s working every day to regain his strength and skills.
Don had a spontaneous vertebral artery dissection in his left brain stem, his medulla had the most damage. The medulla controls your swallowing reflex, balance, uncontrollable hiccups, pain, and temperature sensory. All which he needs to retrain his brain and body to do again. This is going to take time.
He’s currently in rehab, facing challenges that are tough for anyone, especially someone as active as Don. He has a long road ahead and I am asking for help on his behalf. We want him to focus on his recovery and not his finances.
His wife, Lori, had been relentless by his side.
Don is a husband, stepfather, son, brother, uncle, friend, nephew, cousin and cat daddy. We have all surrounded him these past few weeks and will continue to do so through his recovery.
If you can, please consider helping him and his family. Even if you can't donate, just liking, commenting, or sharing this post can make a huge difference. Let's spread the word and rally around Don. Thank you for your kindness and support. ❤️
