Update 6-14-24:
Don is making progress, no more kidney dialysis, the severe wounds are healing and the doctors are wanting to schedule surgery for his broken leg.
That's something to smile about!
On Thursday April 18, 2024 Don suffered a terrible accident, he tells the story:
I took my four ton dump truck to a job site where a tree was being cut down. I did not know where the tree service wanted me to park, so I parked at the top of the driveway to ask where to park.
I started to walk down the hill and all of a sudden the truck hit me and threw me to the ground. The truck must have popped out of park.
All I remember was the tire hitting me. They tell me I was flown by Medflight to UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas. I had emergency surgery to check for internal bleeding due to a massive wound on my right side. I was unconscious and on a ventilator for 12 days. I have a broken leg, severe wounds that have required four debridement surgeries-(so far) and kidney damage that requires dialysis until my kidneys heal. I am confined to a hospital bed with a long road to recovery ahead.
My beautiful wife Lori has been by my side around the clock since the accident.
As you can imagine the bills are starting to pile up and it will be a while before either of us can work. We can use some help to cover our daily expenses and medical bills.
We truly appreciate any help you can give us.
