My sister, Donnise, is a devoted single mother who has always worked hard to provide for her children. For years, she carried the weight of raising them on her own, doing her best to give them stability and love. But over the past six months, life has taken a devastating turn.

She lost her job with FEMA, a role she loved and poured herself into. Since then, things have unraveled quickly. On August 20, 2025, hardship struck even deeper when she was detained after a family altercation. Though she has since been released on probation, the weight of this situation has left her unable to recover financially.

Now the most urgent need is rent. Donnise has fallen behind six months, owing $6,600 ($1,100 per month). An eviction notice has been issued for October 18th. Without immediate help, this single mother and her children will lose their home.
