Hi everyone,

My name is Megan Yarbough and I am fundraising for my dearest friend, Donnie Perrigin.

I met Donnie when he applied to work at Twig Hair Salon, which I was managing. The moment Donnie came in to interview, I instantly thought, "Yes, you belong here." Donnie has this amazing, vibrant personality with a southern charm that just makes you feel like you’re at home when you’re around him.

I had no idea how much of an impact Donnie would have on me and everyone around him. Anyone that has brushed shoulders and talked with Donnie will understand what I mean when I say he is a GEM!

Donnie and his partner Rudy had just sold their house to pursue their dream of traveling around in an RV. While they were camping during one of their adventures, on July 11th, 2024 Donnie suffered from a massive stroke, leaving him paralyzed on the left side of his body. Doctors had to remove part of his skull to stop the swelling in his brain, and he is currently in recovery. Donnie spent his 55th birthday in the ICU due to this stroke and is trying to stay strong and take each day as it comes.

I’m reaching out for your help because if anyone deserves support, it’s Donnie. Calling him special is truly an understatement. These funds will go directly toward his medical bills and any challenges that come up on his road to recovery. Every little bit makes a difference.
