Hello, my name is Gavin Bruce and I am this handsome, 3-year-old boy’s father. I have experienced extreme hardships lately and it has gotten to the point where I’m not sure what to do anymore. I’ll start from the beginning. My son’s mother told me that someone else was his father after he was born, only to later tell me she lied and that she needed my help. I met him when he was four months old, but the other man signed my son’s birth certificate. My son’s mother was living on a friend’s couch with him and the friend no longer wanted her around. I moved her and my son in with my family, but it didn’t work out because of her drug addictions and her need to go out and party. I hired a paralegal to help me get on the birth certificate and it cost me so much money and time. His mom took our son to Illinois against my will and I could do nothing about it since my rights weren’t established. I had to fly to Illinois to see him multiple times before he was even a year old and she would even give him to me for months at a time while she lived there. I’ve sent money to support them and watched him evenly, if not more than her. I’ve spent so much time and money in downtown Phoenix at the courts to get the other man’s name off the birth certificate and my name put on. She hardly helped and made it extremely difficult. But once I got my name on it, she immediately filed for child support and my payments are going to be more than $700 per month. I still don’t have joint custody, but I filed before the support case and she still hasn’t been served. I watch him Thursday-Monday weekly and she lied about her income, her living situation, her child care provider, and she said I only watch him 2 and a half days a week! I can prove all of these, but the court ruled my outstanding payments anyway! I’m a delivery driver at Amazon and only make $22.00 per hour!

My son and I also got into a car crash and my car that I was still paying off is totaled! We live in an apartment, I have no car, and I currently have my son! His mother didn’t even check on him after the crash! Any help would be greatly appreciated and I can prove all the statements made if you would like me to do so! God bless to anyone who read this!
