For those who don’t know me, I’m Kylie Donnies middle daughter. I’m posting this to reach out and raise fund for my dad, as he was involved in a serious motorcycle accident in Port Saint Lucie, Florida today. He went out for a motorcycle ride around 8am and was stuck by a car. He was wearing his helmet and additional gear but still sustained serious injuries to his leg, head and spine.  

      Upon arrival to the hospital he was brought to surgery to repair his leg. He has rods, screws and plates mending the fracture to half of his leg. My father now waits for swelling to reside before they can go and do a second surgery to repair the rest of his leg injury. I was told his spinal fracture was not operable. When I spoke to the hospital, they said that he is in stable condition, but has swelling and bleeding in his head. He is being taken for CAT scans regularly to monitor the incline or decline.

      As most of all who know my father, know he is a very stubborn and passionate man.. he is a fighter and he will pull thought this, with a lot of recovery, physical therapy and rehabilitation. My family and I are doing our best to keep a positive mindset and hope for him to make a full recovery.
 I know he may be a little upset with me for setting this kind of thing up for him, but as we all know, medical bills add up so fast and it’s easy to be drowning in debt. We love him so much and want him to be able to focus on recovery and not have to worry so much about how everything will be taken care of. I have never done anything like this before but I thought I’d reach out to all who have known my father, me or my family. I will update as much as I can with what information I can get.
     Donnie might be rough around the edges, but he has a good heart and is very passionate about his work, his family and riding. We’d love to see him ride again, and soon.
