Hello,

My name is Donna Schmidt Chamberlain Gonzales. I am asking you to consider helping me in my time of need. I am on social security and do not have any extra funds to cover what has recently happened.

Strong winds and rain caused a tree that was not even mine to fall on my house, putting holes in my roof and causing structural damage to the house. The rains continued for a week before the tree was removed, causing my bonus room carpet where my grandsons stay to get wet. The insurance company is not going to cover the hole in the roof, only replacing 18 shingles, or replace the carpet in the bonus room. So, the responsibility to repair and replace my roof and replace the carpet has fallen on me, and I don't have the money to take care of this. My deductible is already more than I have currently.

In addition to my bad luck, my air conditioner has stopped working and it is the first day of summer. My husband is 85 years old, bedridden, and suffers from dementia.

I realize that times are hard, but anything that you could spare would be greatly appreciated.
