It’s with sadness that we share the news of the passing of our much loved colleague and friend Donna. So many of us knew and worked closely with Donna in her many years with the Trust and her loss will be felt by everybody.
Donna joined the Trust in June 1994 as a ‘D Grade Nurse’ and spent over 20 years with us at West London working in several different roles and teams. Through her time with the Trust, Donna worked in the Crisis, Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT) for many years as a Senior Nurse Practitioner.
Donna was passionate about supporting the development of newly qualified nurses and worked closely with the Organisational Development and Workforce team to engage nurses in their final year of studies and recruit them to come and work with the Trust. This work developed into working with overseas nurses and supporting their journey to come and work with us in West London. Most recently Donna began working in the role of Head of Practice Development and Innovation, which was a perfect fit for her passion of helping staff to grow and sharing her ideas for improvement or new ways of working.
Donna was an incredible Nurse and a compassionate leader. She was a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed by many. She lived her life with the value of "Do it because it’s in your heart. Not because you want something in return".
She touched the lives of so many and it’s our turn to give back to her family in their time of need. We are raising money to cover the costs of the funeral and any additional sudden expenses to support Donna’s family. We would appreciate any donations that could help make this difficult period less stressful for her beloved family.
Thank you all, lets honour the life and memory of Donna Sloss by keeping her legacy alive.
