Support Donna's fight with Cancer while Pregnant

My name is Carrie, and I am the best friend of an extraordinary woman named Donna.

Donna is a strong single mother to four energetic boys and is currently 29 weeks pregnant with her first baby girl. While her life has always been filled with the beautiful chaos of raising her boys, she now faces the unimaginable—battling a rare form of liposarcoma cancer.

Donna received this heart-wrenching diagnosis on Friday, May 16. Due to the rarity of her cancer, there are no defined stages, making her situation even more challenging. Currently, Donna is in her third week of hospitalization, with doctors estimating she will remain there for an additional 4-6 weeks. The cancerous mass in her stomach has grown to 26 centimeters and continues to expand rapidly.

Doctors are doing everything they can to help Donna hold her pregnancy until at least 32 weeks. However, with the growing mass and her baby, she is in constant pain and running out of space. Once her baby girl is delivered, Donna will undergo major surgery just five days later to remove the mass, followed by an aggressive chemotherapy regimen.

Donna has always been a pillar of strength, but right now, she needs our help. She cannot work due to her condition, and the mounting medical bills, along with everyday expenses to support her home and children, are overwhelming.
