Hey there family and friends. We sincerely appreciate your prayers and reaching out to me. As you know my mother Donna Thiel was admitted to the hospital Thursday evening and has to have surgery Sunday morning. I finally feel comfortable telling everyone that my mother went into acute liver failure. I could have lost her and it has been the hardest thing I've ever faced. She has had to face test after test with the word cancer thrown around several times. She has been so strong and gracious. They finally found that she has a failed stent that caused her bile duct to develop blockages. This caused so many abnormal blood levels and liver failure. She was severely jaundice. They are confident that we can reverse it because we took her to the ER. She was reluctant for this gofundme because she is proud and such an independent woman. But she needs help. She will be out of work and the costs are piling up. Anything helps and if you can't, just prayers or thoughts are oh so very appreciated. I love her so much and she has touched so many peoples hearts whether it be through her famous bakes or her funny jokes and her selfless care.
