Most of you know my mom Donna, and her background, but for those who don't Id like to share a short story.

My mom first found out she was pregnant with me at the age of 39, and a few short weeks later, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She went through a very difficult pregnancy all while receiving chemotherapy for the cancer. After I was born, my mom ended up needing a bone marrow transplant due to the cancer coming back. She has been in remission since then (about 20 years).

This year, my mom’s cancer came back, and she was diagnosed with a rare form of Lymphoma. She recently started her first round of chemotherapy about 2 weeks ago.

The day after her treatment, my mom developed severe abdominal pain, and was so sick. What we thought was a case of Diverticulitis and a quick ER visit, turned into a perforated bowel and an abscess. This lead to emergency surgery, an ICU admission an almost 2 week stay in the hospital.

Since then, my mom has been discharged to a rehab, and has a long road of recovery ahead of her. Along with this, she still has the cancer to beat.

If you know my mom, she is a hard worker, who loves her family and would do anything for anyone. We are asking for some help to cover bills until she can get back on her feet.
