Hi, our names are Michael, Anthony, and Gianna, and we are writing on behalf of our parents, Donna and Gary. Our parents have been part of church ministry since they were kids. For decades, they have quietly given their lives to serving others, walking alongside people through joy and loss, showing up in moments both sacred and ordinary, and loving people faithfully without expecting anything in return. Over their lifetime, they have touched the lives of thousands of people through their lives.
After our grandmother passed away, whom they cared for over 28 years, they began to prepare for their future together—just the two of them. Just as they were beginning to prepare for the future, everything changed. Recently, our mom, Donna, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is now preparing to begin treatment. Because of this, she has had to step away from her work as a flight attendant for the foreseeable future. Like many in her profession, there is no base pay when you are not flying, which means her income has stopped completely. Our parents were counting on her pay to help cover health insurance and basic living expenses. This diagnosis was sudden and unexpected, and the financial impact has been overwhelming. While our family is doing everything we can, there is now a gap we cannot bridge on our own.
We are hoping to raise support to help cover this season’s medical-related expenses, insurance, and everyday living costs so our parents can focus on treatment, rest, and being together during this difficult time. Asking for help does not come easily for them. They are used to being the ones who give. But as their children, we know how much it would mean to lift this burden and allow them to face what’s ahead with a little more peace. If you’re able to give, thank you. If you’re not, we completely understand—prayers, encouragement, and sharing this page are just as meaningful. Every act of kindness reminds us that we are not walking this road alone. With heartfelt gratitude, Michael, Anthony, and Gianna
