Support Donna's Battle Against Cancer
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
Last year, Donna Thompson was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent surgery and chemotherapy throughout the summer, but unfortunately, in February, the cancer returned and has now spread to her lungs, bones, liver, and lymph nodes. The oncologists have said that it's Stage 4 and not curable. This means that Donna's prognosis is terminal, and she will need ongoing treatment to manage her symptoms and improve her quality of life.
Donna is not just a patient, but also a wife to Tony Thompson, a mother to Aaron (Danica) Thompson, Amber Thompson, and a grandmother to 5 beautiful grandchildren. Donna is an active member of her community, serving as a board member for Operation Santa for years, and has been the Vice President for the past few years. She was also a cheerleading coach and a mom who dedicated her time to her children's activities. Additionally, she has been Mrs. Claus for the local elementary schools, fundraisers, and the Zoneton Fire Truck. She has touched many lives in her community with her kind heart and selflessness.
Donna and Tony traveled to Houston last week to visit MD Anderson Cancer Center for a second opinion and treatment plan. While they were there, they received news that Donna's condition had worsened, and she would need to begin treatment immediately. After much consideration, they have decided to admit Donna to the James Brown Cancer Institute in Louisville where she will receive specialized care and treatment. Treatment will begin right away.
As Tony and Donna's family, we humbly ask for your continued prayers and thoughts for healing as we navigate this difficult journey with Donna. They both believe in God and know that He is the ultimate healer. Additionally, we kindly ask for any financial assistance you could provide to help cover Donna's medical bills and travel expenses. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to ensure that Donna can receive the treatment she needs to manage her symptoms and enjoy her time with her loved ones.
Thank you for your support, prayers, and generosity. May God bless you all.
