My name is Donnamay Asiedu.
On October 27, 2025, while working as a contract healthcare professional, what I thought was a simple back injury turned into a life-changing diagnosis. After going to the emergency room, I woke up to learn that my kidneys had failed. Overnight, dialysis became my lifeline.
Today, I spend 3½ hours on dialysis every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and I am in the process of being placed on the kidney transplant list. While I wait, a living kidney donor could greatly shorten my wait and give me a second chance at life. My insurance covers the medical costs for donation, and I would be happy to answer any questions about the process.
I'm also asking for financial help. The costs of transportation to dialysis, medical expenses, and everyday living have become overwhelming. Any donation, no matter the size, will help ease this burden and allow me to focus on my health.
This journey has humbled me and strengthened my faith. I want nothing more than to be here for my children and grandchildren and to enjoy the life God has blessed me with.
If you feel led to help, there are three meaningful ways you can make a difference:
PRAY for my health, strength, and a successful kidney transplant.
SHARE my story with your family, friends, church, and social media to help me reach others.
GIVE whatever you can to help with my ongoing medical, transportation, and living expenses—or consider becoming a living kidney donor if you feel called to do so.
Every prayer, every share, every donation, and every act of kindness brings me one step closer to hope. Thank you for standing with me during this journey.
With Gratitude
Donnamay
UPDATE (July 2026): Doctors have discovered a blockage affecting the blood flow to my heart. I have a procedure scheduled soon. Once this is treated, I can continue moving forward toward being placed on the kidney transplant list.
