Support Donna Laurin's Family in Their Time of Need

Family & Friends,

We are raising money to help the family of Donna Laurin, one of our community’s most beloved, who just lost her courageous battle with ovarian cancer. As most of you know, Donna was incredibly caring, selfless and genuine. She brought light, love and joy to so many of us throughout the years without ever expecting anything in return.

During the last 2 years she fought so hard against the cancer that eventually claimed her life while always maintaining a positive attitude and focusing on her blessings. She was an exceptional and inspirational woman and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Donna was unable to continue working while she was undergoing the different cancer treatments and frequent doctor appointments. She relied on her 4 kids to help care for her, her home, and her beloved kitties as well as transport her to Dartmouth for treatments, setbacks and emergency care.

Up until this point, Donna and her family have not asked for or accepted any financial assistance from the community, making due the best they could. This became more difficult as new medically necessary items and equipment needed to be purchased so that Donna could remain safe and comfortable at home for as long as possible. Now, as the reality of final expenses, mortgage and car payments, medical, utility and food bills loom ahead they need our help.

The hope is to cover final expenses, pay off bills from medical equipment purchased and to help lessen the burden of monthly expenses for a few months or more in order to allow her children to get everything settled and ready to take over these payments.

So often when someone we care about passes there is little that we can do to support the family besides offering our support and love. We now have an opportunity to help in another way. Anyone who knew Donna knew her to be full of love and compassion for others and an incredibly generous soul. Any amount you are able to contribute towards this goal is a Thank You to Donna for her kindness and will help to take care of the people (and animals) she loved most.
