Dear Family, Friends and Kind Strangers,

We are reaching out today with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits to share the Story of Donna Parvin Hall. As some of you may know, she has been experiencing some health concerns since January. This week we had an appointment with her neurologist where we received a diagnosis of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). This devastating disease has no cure, and while Donna has always been a fighter and will continue to fight, the challenges ahead are going to be monumental.

Donna holds our family together. She is the most selfless person who has spent countless hours caring for others. She has always put others first and made sure everyone’s needs are met. Now, it’s our turn to return the favor.

ALS, often referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative condition that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, leading to loss of muscle control. This disease affects the ability to move, speak, eat and ultimately breathe. While Donna continues to show her strength and determination, the disease is progressing, and with that the costs of care are rapidly escalating.

How your support will help?

We are raising funds to help Donna live with dignity and comfort through this difficult journey. The funds raised will go directly towards:

• Medical treatments and equipment: Specialized equipment, including mobility aids, communication devices, and respiratory support is essential to maintaining her quality of life.
  
• Home care: As Donna’s condition progresses, she will require full-time care, in-home nursing, as well as modifications to our home to make it more accessible.
  
• Therapies: Donna is determined to remain as active as possible! Physical and occupational therapy can help to slow the progression of ALS.
  
• Travel to Medical treatments: Donna’s neurologist is located in San Antonio, and we will soon begin attending the ALS Clinic offered at her neurologists’ office. (Roughly 2.5 hours away)
  

Despite the diagnosis, Donna’s spirit remains unbroken and her attitude is positive beyond measure! Praise Jesus! She cherishes every moment spent with her loved ones and continues to be an inspiration to us all with her courage! Your donation, no matter the size, will make a profound difference in Donna’s life and help us provide her with the support she needs to face this disease head-on.
