Maureen Biggart and Bridget Mazzini here asking for your support for our dear friend Donna Platt and her life partner/husband Stewart Munson.

After 4 years of braving multiple rounds of cancer chemotherapy, Stewart has exhausted all his treatment options and is now in the final stage of his life. Throughout his illness and up until 4 days before he entered hospice care, Stewart showed up for work at the Mill Valley Community Center with a smile on his face and a greeting for all.

For the past 4 weeks, Donna has been Stewart's primary in home caregiver. It has become truely overwhelming as Stewart's physical condition has deteriorated drastically. Donna's tiny frame is not capable of supporting Stewart's intensive physical needs. Without additional

in-home support the circumstances are unsustainable.

Your donation will help provide Donna and Stewart with the ability to hire nursing assistants that can provide physical support. This will allow them to feel safe at home and provide Donna a few moments of resbit every day just to step outside and take in some fresh air and recharge her battery so she can be fully present for Stewart's last weeks.

We are grateful for donations of any amount. Every bit helps. And a big thanks to the city of Mill Valley employees who generously contributed family leave hours to Stewart and Donna.
