Hello everyone,

My name is Dawn Chavous, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend of nearly 20 years, Donna Marie Duncan, who recently suffered an unimaginable tragedy.

On Friday, August 15th, Donna returned home to discover that her apartment had been completely destroyed in a fire. She and her son were thankfully not home at the time — a blessing we are incredibly grateful for — but the damage to their home and belongings is total. Everything they owned was lost in the fire.

Donna is now left without a home, without essentials, and without a sense of security. She is an incredibly loving mother, a dedicated friend, and someone who has always put others before herself. Now she and her son are starting from scratch, facing the long and difficult journey of rebuilding their lives.
