In Memory of Tony Skinner:A Servant’s Heart, A Hero’s Legacy

On April 21, 2025, our beloved Tony Skinner tragically passed away doing what he loved most — caring for his cattle in the Oklahoma sun. His sudden passing has left our hearts broken and our family facing unexpected financial burdens, as Tony did not have life insurance. We are reaching out in hopes of easing the financial load on his wife of 45 years, Donna, who now finds herself navigating both grief and the future on her own.

Tony was so much more than a husband, father, grandfather, teacher, and friend. He loved his grand kids more than anything, He was the kind of man who made everyone feel like family — whether he was leading worship at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, teaching history and music to generations of students at Hartshorne High School, or simply fixing something in the barn with his son.

A man of deep faith, immense kindness, and unwavering dedication to the people he loved, Tony touched countless lives with his voice, his stories, and his steadfast presence. He believed in showing up — rain or shine — whether it was to feed the cattle, sing a gospel song, or offer help to someone in need.

This GoFundMe has been created to help cover funeral expenses and support Donna as she adjusts to life without her partner and best friend. Every donation, no matter the size, is a way of saying “Thank you” to a man who gave so much to others. Even after life as he was an organ donor.
