Support Donell Battle's Road to Recovery

Hi,

My name is Melissa Newell and I am raising a Fundraiser for my lifelong best friend, Donell Battle. Over the weekend, Donell was involved in a severe, traumatic, motorcycle accident that resulted in several traumatic injuries to his body. Due to the severity of the accident, he had to be lifestard to the local hospital. He is sustaining life long injuries that will forever change the ability to walk or work again. The accident caused both femurs in his legs to shatter, a broken neck, a broken forearm and a traumatic brain bleed. He will forever have metal in his body and rods to support his bones. He was a hard working man that worked high up in an HVAC company but will now loose his ability to work due to the violent injuries to his legs. Donell is a 26 year old who was just creating a life for himself. He is ambitious, caring, hard working and loyal to those around him. Those who know him, would agree, Donell is a kind soul. He always gave a hand to those in need, lended money to people and families who needed it, and was always willing to come help you if you needed it. He will now be impacted for the rest of his life by medical bills and rehabilitation to learn to walk again. He is supported by his mom, a local Elementary Teacher, who has devoted her life to taking care of students as well as her son. Donell has his entire life ahead of him and his life will now be challenging and strenuous with bills adding to the agony. All funds will be going towards the multiple surgeries he will be enduring throughout the next few months as well as rehabilitation.
