On Saturday, May 23rd, Ashley and Donald traveled up to the Portland, Maine area to do what they love most: photograph a wedding. However, later that night, while Donald was photographing guests on the dance floor, he was stabbed in the chest in an unexpected and unprovoked attack by a wedding guest.

Those who know Donald know he would never hurt a fly. Donald was rushed to the hospital and brought into emergency surgery. He suffered from two lacerations including one to his liver. He is expected to have a long road to recovery. He is looking forward to putting this nightmare behind him.

We are hoping to raise money to help the couple with medical expenses, travel, food, their time away from work, and anything else they may need to make a full recovery together. They had just moved into their first home together and were supposed to celebrate Ashley’s bridal shower on Sunday.

Ashley and Donald have been together for nearly 8 years and are looking forward to their own wedding later this year. I cannot think of two people who care for and love each other more than the two of them. Thank you for your support as they begin healing.
