Toward the end of February, my husband Donald became very sick. My daughter Gina was able to convince him to be seen as he was being stubborn and didn't want to go to the hospital. The doctor told us had we waited one more day, Donald would no longer be with us. An illness became Donald's body shutting down leaving him fighting for his life!

With a diagnosis of Septic Shock, Donald's liver and gallbladder was failing! Donald would go on to have two life saving surgeries, removing colon that had died, leaving Donald with an ostomy bag!

He has fought with incredible strength through every moment of this! While we are grateful he is still with us, this fight is far from over and his recovery will be long and challenging.

As we focus on his healing and getting him home where he belongs, the financial burden continues to grow leaving it impossible for our family to manage on our own.
