Support Donald’s Recovery After Total Knee Replacement

On October 14, 2025, Donald underwent a total knee replacement, a major surgery that will require months—possibly up to a year—of healing, therapy, and rehabilitation. While recovery is challenging for anyone, it is especially difficult for someone whose livelihood depends on being active and constantly on the move.

Donald is many things:

A father of four, a Pop Pop to six, a brother, a teammate, and a loyal friend to countless people he has touched over the years. He is a proud member of St. John Baptist Church in Camden, NJ, and an alumnus of Delaware State University, where he played as an offensive lineman on the football team.

After college, Donald dedicated his life to being a family man, a long-time foster parent for more than two decades, and a committed servant to his community. For the past 10 years, his entrepreneurial spirit and deep love for helping others led him into the transportation business, where he worked as a Lyft and Uber driver, often going the extra mile for passengers in need.

In addition, Donald spent years working within the urban school districts of Camden and Trenton as a substitute teacher for students in grades K–12. He has always shown up—whether to guide young minds, help neighbors get where they need to go, or uplift the communities he once called home.

But as many know, the life of an entrepreneur and community servant comes with both great rewards and real challenges. When you don’t work, you don’t get paid. And right now, as Donald recovers from surgery, he is unable to work and has no source of income.

Donald has spent his entire life pouring into others. Now, it is our turn to pour into him.
