Support Donald & Vikki's Health Battle

Hello, let me introduce myself and my daughter. I’m Vikki Russ-Terry and my daughter is Maleia Terry. We have set up a GoFundMe page in hopes and prayers that we can get help. A little backstory on Donald: he had a mitral valve replacement in 2003 and a stroke in 2014.

He has been fairly healthy. He goes to work despite arthritis in his left hip, making his leg behind him, but my, he’s going to work. Which is why we’re so alarmed. He went to the hospital and had some deadly arrhythmias (VTach, Afib) and a pulmonary embolism in his right lung. He is also wearing a life vest outside of his body, it’s a defibrillator, that he has to have for the next 3 months. He still has a job and is struggling to keep it due to his sudden health issues. He’s proud of his work ethic and being put on rest is entirely foreign to him. His anxiety has never been this bad to the point where he took another trip to the hospital due to fear of getting sick again.

Not only does Donald have these health issues, so does his wife. I have an LVAD (left ventricular assist device) that is attached to my heart and keeps me alive. Our daughter is the one with all this responsibility put onto her—she’s only 24! She has mental health condition that keeps her from achieving her dreams and we’re devastated to see our little suffer.
